Resolved Question: trying to find a certain seaside break?

Hi i am looking to take my family on a short seaside break this weekend we live in (milton keynes which is just 40 miles outside london) so we want to keep driving down to around 3 hours if possible because of the children although i realise this doesnt leave too many options! we have already done many places so we would prefer somewhere new so far we have done BRIGHTON, BOURNEMOUTH, WEYMOUTH,HASTINGS,HUNSTANTON,CLACTON,SKEGNESS GREAT YARMOUTH, Im looking for the traditional seaside things to keep the kids entertained (fairgrounds ect) but also a scenic place thats got some history for me and my partner to enjoy i know i sound pretty fussy lol but I have been looking for ages now and cant find what im looking for im hoping someone on here knows of a little gem of a place they could share with us !...
